Day 7 of our road trip to East Texas… on the way back to Tempe, AZ… wanted to stop to further test the Mexican food of Tucson, AZ… this was my pick. My wife had a cheese quesadilla which she stuffed with pico de gallo & guacamole. She said is was delicious! I had 2 chicken tacos and a carne asada Caramelo. Likewise, I used pico de gallo & guacamole. Chicken was as good as I have EVER had… carne asada was excellent too!

El Guero Canelo is hands down THE BEST!!!! The Sonoran dogs are out of this world, best in Tucson. The hot dog is quality, so smoky and meaty. The toppings are complimentary, tomatoes, grilled onions, various sauces and the pepper bring your taste buds to their knees. The bacon, mmmm. The bun, is a pillow from heaven. And I'd be remiss if I left out the mouthwatering carne asada tacos. The flavor of the steak, the tenderness...The authentic tasting flour tortilla, everything is perfect. I love this place. We go there for dine in, but delivery is just as good and shows up tasting just as awesome. If you've never been before, what are you waiting for???

I traveled to Tucson for a meeting at U of A with my family. This place was recommended by a friend. I enjoyed the food and more importantly the service. I will be back to try other menu items since we focused on the Sonoran dogs this time. Special shout-out to the owner who was willing to review the camera and check the trash when I misplaced my car keys! His team definitely went out of their way to assist me.
